  This is a great spot for a family getaway. The Hemingway House provides lots of space and different venues, pool/hot tub, media room and pool table;and a beautiful beach. The evening sunsets in the lighthouse (with drinks and snacks) were a huge success as well as roasting marshmellows over the fire pit. Could use updating of fixtures and kitchenware; Carl (the owner) was very helpful. A beautiful property and very safe.

  In my opinion, the single most important this to know about this property is the Lighthouse. Having a 360 view of the beach, city and sunset every night was amazing.

  This home was wonderful, especially the view and the pool design and size! Great home for 10 of us comfortably, including 4 little kids. Would have liked King beds instead of Queen but there was variety of choice of rooms to enjoy, with play room, media
  room, pool table and lighthouse. Evening sunsets were gorgeous. This house is a winner.

  Beautiful home. The staff members at beachhousefl are always the greatest. This is our third year booking through them and we are always so pleased with everything. First time at this residence. Only thing I can think of to improve our stay would be accent lighting in pool area. This needs addressing to make nights around the pool more enjoyable. Very little light out there without them.

  Sparsly furnished - little seating other than dining tables; no drawer storage in 2 bedrooms (when you stay a week, you need to unpack). Kitchen nicely furnished w/ usual equipment and gadgets -- could use a new coffee maker and various sized pots. Light in theater projector was missing so no movies/TV first 3 days; owner installed new light on the 4th day. Pool was fantastic, and billards and game room were enjoyed daily. Sunsets were spectacular. Awesome way to celebrate birthdays and family/together time.

  I live less than 20 minutes from this beautiful vacation beach home and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. The house is spacious, the pool is HUGE and you are on a private part of the beach. The owner was great to deal with. One couldn't ask for more out of a vacation spot :)

  I stayed at the hemingway house recently with my family of four and my brother inlaw's family of six and we had a blast. There was so much room to move around the house and stay entertained both inside and out. No need to even leave the property, we did not want to go anywhere else. We actually saw a huge sea turtle come out of the ocean, crawl right past us on the beach, build a nest and lay her eggs right in front of us. That was an experience of a lifetime!!! we also saw dolphins at sunset more than a few times and wow what a sunset here!
  we don't usally plan on staying at the same place agian but are already talking about coming back to this awesome home in the fall.
  The owner and everyone associated with this home made our vacation worry and hassle free. We highly recommend the hemingway house to everyone.

  Location perfect, tons of space and great features like pool, beach's gameroom and theater. Needs a little freshening of furnishings, fixtures and equipment like kitchenware, and a bit more weatherproofing against severe rain and wind storms that we had one day but overall we'd definitely go again.

  WE TRULY ENJOYES OUR STAY AT THE HEMINGWAY HOUSE. THE ONLY DOWNFALL WAS THE SWIMMING POOL NOT BEING HEATED. KARL WAS EXTREMEMLY COOPERATIVE WITH ANY ISSUES THAT CAME UP. WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY.

  Carl (the owner) was so nice and helpful. We had an issue with the water heater & he addressed it promptly. Beautiful property. The description doesn't even mention the light house! Amazing sunsets. Wonderful house for a great family vacation!! Carl gave us fun suggestions for eating out. The pool was a huge hit with the whole family. The movie theater & pool table made for great family bonding. Overall, ideal property for a family vacation.
