About
Somerset Place beach rental is one of the few Florida beach house rentals that can accommodate large groups, including family reunions and very small weddings. With 10 bedrooms, 6 baths, 2 buildings, a private court yard with small pool and only 150 steps to the sand, this fun Florida beach rental is your affordable answer. While the property sleeps a maximum of 28 guests, we may allow guests to entertain up to 40 people by special permission only. There are additional rules and local noise ordinances that must be strictly observed. You must inquire at time of booking and additional fees apply.
Just a short walk or trolley ride to the famous Pier 60 and the sunset celebrations every day of the year, weather permitting, this Florida beach rental property is located just north of all the action on a quiet side street. This 10-bedroom huge beach property is divided into two buildings.
This huge Florida beach rental will sleep 27 adults using all the beds and offers a pack-n-play for baby to make room for 28 total.
The front house has 7 bedrooms. There are two family suites which includes 4 of the 7 bedrooms in the front building. This means you walk through a queen room to get to a room with 2 twins and a trundle. The suites have doors that close between the rooms for privacy. Families can use these suites to keep small children safely near parents in the room with the twin beds. The interior rooms do not have a door leading outside. Additionally, the front building offers 3 private separate queen rooms. And finally, the front building of this huge beach rental offers a sleeper sofa in the living room.
The back house features 2 private rooms with queen beds and the third room has 2 twins with a trundle. The living room in the back house also has a sleeper sofa. (Please note that 3 of the twin beds are trundles that pop up from under one of the twin beds. There are two trundles in the front house and one in the back.)
Each of the buildings has a full kitchen, dining room and family room. The buildings are separated by a private courtyard with a pool. The courtyard is filled with tables and chairs, creating the perfect setting for a family hangout. The city also offers well maintained tennis courts, basketball courts, boat ramp, public docks and a municipal building that can be rented for gatherings. Bring your boat; we are within a walking distance from the public boat ramp. There are almost no other Florida beach house rentals as large and this close to the sand as this fun property.
If approved you may rent just one house and have access to the courtyard and private pool. We only allow separating the two homes if it is within a few weeks of your check in date. Please ask for more info. We have several properties surrounding Somerset Place if you need to accommodate more than 28 people overnight.
ADDITIONAL INFO AND DISCLOSURES:
Gatherings are permitted at this property with prior authorization made at the time of booking and additional fee. Groups that do not inform BeachhouseFL of gatherings in advance will be asked to leave without refund. Excessive noise after 10 pm is not allowed as it is located in a residential neighborhood.
We do not supply anything that is taken off the property including any coolers, floats, beach towels, chairs, etc. March and April, June, July and some other holiday times are minimum 7 nights and typically are Saturday to Saturday. Age minimums do apply and there is a significant cash security damage deposit for groups under 25 years old. Pets are possibly allowed but must be disclosed and there is a pet fee. The pool can be heated for an additional fee some months of the year.

The house was just as described in the listing as well as most of the reviews. It was the perfect location and set up for our large family. The house was very clean and provided all we needed for our beach vacation. It is not fancy or rich with amenities but we were not looking for that. It is a one minute walk to the beach and in walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and Pier 60. We will definitely return in years to come.

Our last-minute booking at Somerset turned out to be a fantastic decision. The location was amazing, right on Clearwater Beach. We did have a slight hiccup with the neighbor regarding the noise after hours but it was fixed right away. The house was clean, spacious, and felt like home, equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The house is in a great location. Plenty of beds and bathroom for our group. Pool is smaller than you think, but it was nice to have a pool. The directions that we received via email didn't match what happened. The garbage was pickup on Wednesday morning instead of Thur so all our garbage didn't go out until Wednesday night like we were asked to. The pool cleaner comes on Tues amd Friday not Monday and Thur. He was very nice while he was there. None of the tvs in the bedrooms worked, the TV in the living room had Netflix but you need your own log in if you want to use it. Then you need to buy batteries because none of the remotes had batteries. We had a broken lamp in our room from the people before.

We had 22 fam members that stayed and overall were comfortable and had a wonderful time. I wouldn’t recommend more than that unless you want to use pull out couches. Location awesome, prop mgt co very efficient and accommodating! The house had a few broken items (which I sent pics of to prop mgt co) and could use some fixing up. The exterior of the house could definitely use some cleaning up due to items that were broken and trash in the yard that could be tossed. Loved the double W/D, clothesline and nicely stocked kitchen cooking items. A/C, tvs, internet worked great. Thank you for the amazing family time we had at Somerset!

It was very cold in Florida upon our arrival and the heat was not working in one of the houses. We reached out regarding the issue and space heaters were provided until repair on the unit could be done. The repairman arrived very late in the evening and upon working on the unit sparks were flying from the vents and the house filled with smoke causing smoke alarms to go off for quite some time. All was well after a couple hours of airing out the unit. Heat was on and no issues after the first night. Both homes on the property could use some updating and basic repairs. Overall, the size was perfect for our big family...especially nice that the teen boys all had a separate house. The location was within walking distance of shops and restaurants and a very short walk to the beach.

This property was clean, the location was great and overall this place was decent. The condition of this property I was somewhat dissatisfied with, the air worked decently, only a few of the tvs worked luckily we didnt really watch much tv and I do not think this location can hold the amount of people it says. We had 18 and were squeezed, everyone had a bedroom but as far as living room and kitchen space there wasnt any. Also the outside space really needs to be cleaned up, we brought corn hole, hoping we would be able to play it but there were about 8-10 tables just sitting in the outside space where we could all fit and hang out. Overall if you had a smaller group this place might be great but I definitely think this place needs some TLC.

The house and cottage were perfect for our needs. We had 17 adults, 2 toddlers and 1 infant. Cable didn't work, but the beach was close, so we didn't have time to watch TV. Agent responded to every text. Very happy experience! Great memories!

The place was a little smaller then shown on pictures but still plenty of room for my 13 guests. We ran into a few situations. The second house AC was not working the first night. We all woke up sweaty. We contacted maintenance and they resolved the issue for us. The sink in the main house was a disaster. The piper was super loose which caused a flood every time we did the dishes. I the only down part was having to clean up and spent hours trying to get the water out while I was on vacation. The pool is extremely small. I’m pictures it looks big.

Super easy from the first email to the last door close. Beautiful property with a fantastic, heated, pool. It is literally 2 blocks from Clearwater Beach. The people in charge are very, very, easy to reach and very , very, responsive. 100% recommend it. Both homes account for 8 bedrooms. 2 of them are set up for family rooms (1 queen and bedding for up to 4 kids.) 5 are queens and 1, in the guest house, is set up with the "up to 4 kids" kinda room.

While the beach was nice, most of our time was spent socializing, grilling and enjoying some cold beverages around the pool. Of course the pool also drew the kids away from their electronic devices for hours on end. Communication with management was very good and the houses were very clean. You will not need to bring anything for the beach except hats and sunscreen and of course your swimsuit. Lots of towels and other things that guests have purchased and left. Did I mention how awesome the pool was!

The location is perfect just across from a perfect beach on northern edge away from downtown. The set up is fantastic for a large group with a lot of sleeping configurations. The courtyard is perfect for cmeals, games and too cool off in pool. Only recommendation is some cool lighting in courtyard for nightime to make for better nightime ambience. Overall, great set up and cant find a better location (unless oceanside)

Location of this rental home was perfect just a quick walk to the beach was all! Property was very clean and organized. Property manager was very friendly and helpful. The house was closer to the beach than we anticipated and the use of space was very impressive. It wasn't "high end" but we weren't looking for that. The pool was smaller than we though it was going to be but the kids loved it just fine and the management company heated it so well before we got there that we were able to use it the minute we got there in early January! We appreciated the parking for 7 cars and the grills. We had 8 adults and 11 kids, everyone had their own bed and we had 3 trundles left unused as well as 2 sofa beds unused. We would for sure come back again.

The house was great for our large group of seven families with Kids. Having two separate house worked great for kids and teens to hang out at one house and adults at the other. The location is fabulous! Quick walk to beach and about 10 min walk to Pier 60 and main areas of Clearwater Beach.
Pool was heated (per our request)which was great! It's on the smaller side but the kids really enjoyed it.
Only complaint would be the bed setup. The trundle beds are squeaky and you can only pull one out in each of the rooms, even though there are two trundles. Not a big deal, but be aware. We pulled one trundle into the kitchen in the back house to accommodate. My husband and I stayed in the back house in the bedroom on the right and the mattress was pretty bad. It sloped in the middle so we kept rolling into each other, so sleeping was difficult. This definitely needs replacing.
We had a coffee maker and toaster oven that were broken, and the manager replaced them within hours. Excellent customer service!
I would stay here again (on a different bed). Overall, a great vacation spot.

The house was amazing! So much room for our large family and then some!!! This is honestly a great deal for the size and location. The beach is just a few steps away and downtown Clearwater is a 15 minute walk. The pool is a bit small but is still about 5 feet at the deep end so still plenty big for taking a dip. There was bad weather the days before we arrived and the pool was a bit dirty from the wind and rain but we texted them and they offered to send someone right away. We had a minor cleanliness issue as well and they also offered to send their cleaning services the next day but we turned it down as it was minor but the fact that they were so willing to help was amazing! Communication with the listing agent prior to booking fast and booking was super easy! He was willing to work with me since we did book a bit later than we would have liked but they were very accommodating. There is a number you can text or call during your stay if you have any issues. There is more than enough seating outside in the patio and they have everything from a grill to a washer and dryer. Great stay and will definitely be going back!!! Thank you for making our Family vacation a great one!

We had so much fun. Clearwater Beach is a great destination for families! It was great to have two houses with so many people. The courtyard was a great place to relax. When we got there we had some concerns with cleanliness of the homes especially the sheets and bedrooms. We did wash all the sheets and all was fine. During this process the staff was very helpful and prompt in answering any questions I had! I would recommend this property and company to work with.

We had a wonderful time for our family reunion at Somerset Beach. Our four children their spouses and 14 grandchildren joined us. We fortunately had great weather to enjoy the beach and pool. There were plenty of beds and table space for everyone. Location was good,just a short walk to the beach. Pool was small but large enough that the younger children loved it. Kitchen layout was not ideal but doable and in some bedrooms it was difficult to pull out the trundle beds. We had a few problems with pool heater and air conditioner but they were fixed promptly. Everyone absolutely loved our time together at this wonderful place.

We had a lovely time in Clearwater beach renting this home on the north side of the island. This is more of a residential side and it is much quieter than the south side. The pool and courtyard was the hot spot for all the kids we had with us. Although the pool is on the smaller side it was more than enough space for our 5 kids under the age of 10. Beach access was less than 2 blocks away and the addition of sand toys at the home was great! The bedrooms were decently sized and beds were relatively comfortable. Plenty of parking spaces available right on somerset st as well.

We had a 95th birthday party with a mini family reunion at these houses. It was perfect! Everyone could do their own thing and still we were all together. There are 10 bedrooms, but you should know that 2 of them can only be accessed through other bedrooms. We loved our stay there!

We had a great time at the house - there were numerous bedrooms and bathrooms which was perfect for our large group. The location was great - just a walk across the street to the beach. Lots of chairs in the courtyard pool area which was nice! The AC in the back house stopped working, which wasn't ideal since it was so hot while we were there, but they had someone come out in a very timely manner to work on it. Hot water in the shower of one of the bathrooms in the back house wasn't working. One of two of the trundle beds we weren't able to get out due to the dresses being in the way... buck luckily we didn't need them. Overall, great experience!

Very hard to find spots that sleep this many. This is a great getaway location for large group. Clean, convenient and comfortable. We had 26 people (12 were kids) and fit without issue. Awesome beach access. Small pool in courtyard was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook, eat, drink. Owners/operators were responsive and friendly. Would definitely book again if in the area.

We had a few minor issues during our stay. Dishwasher didn't work in either house, owner got maintenance on it quickly. We still had to hand wash dishes in main house for half of our stay until dishwasher could be replaced. Suspect cleaning crew didn't notice dishwasher wasn't functioning a put away dirty dishes in cupboard. Takes a long time to get hit water on one side of main house, like 30 mins of running straight hot for it to get warm. Great location, walking distance to main strip, many restaurants and shops. Owner is easily accessible to all of our needs and responds promptly. Furniture configuration is odd, as most bedrooms with multiple bed have trundles but size of room and dresser placement prevent using some of them. Overall, a good experience.

We planned a large family reunion and needed a large flexible property. This property was perfect. There were 2 individual cottages with plenty of bed, bathrooms and 2 full kitchens. The cottages were separated by a patio with a pool. There was plenty of extra tables and chairs. It was only a block off the beach, a very easy walk. There were plenty of walkable restaurants and entertainment for the little people as well as the high school/college crowd. We will definitely use it again!

This place was fantastic for what we were looking for. We rented it because we needed a larger space for my family and a smaller space for me and my friends where I could get ready on the wedding day. We had 27 people stay, seven of which were kids. The kids loved the pool area and being just two blocks from the beach was awesome! Being that we had 27 people, the larger home did feel extremely crowded. The smaller home felt just right for the number of people we had in it. 8 adults in the back home and 13 adults and 7 kids in the other. There were a few things that needed to be updated. But we could also tell that they have updated since some of the photos were taken. More information on the actual layout would be nice.

The Somerset rental was perfect for a very large group ~25. Plenty of towels, bedding, cutlery and utensils. Place was clean and cared for. Very well located near the beach. The only thing I recommend is to tighten up the interior door handles as they are loosening up and some doors are difficult to open. Very responsive customer service. I highly recommend this place.

Great location. The beach was close by and not too crowded. We packed both house for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The house could use some updating. There were some cracked and loose tile in the kitchen. We did have a few issues that were handled promptly by the management company. They were always responsive and took care of the issues quickly.

My husband and I and four of my adult siblings took a last minute trip in February. The location is perfect with a short walk to the beach and downtown. The private backyard with heated pool was wonderful for grilling and hanging out. There is room for lots of people. We each had our own bedroom and didn't even use the two bedroom house in back. Beds were pretty comfortable. The only drawback was the noise in the morning from the remodeling going on at the motel on the corner. Beautiful beach. Pretty quiet location. I'd stay there again.

We have 23 people in our family, We always go for a Family Christmas Beach Party, The bedrooms are beautiful, with six bathrooms. We loved the heated pool in December. Walking distance to the beach, to see the sunset. and for the kids to go along. We had two kitchens and three refrigerators to hold all our food and drinks. The front of the house is where we take our Family Pictures, and the background is beautiful with all the palm trees. We love it. And when there is a problem, Maria was always on the spot to help us. We celebrated Mom's 90th birthday, and family came from various places across the U.S. This is a great property for a large gathering, and we had plenty of room for everyone. It is close to the beach and good restaurants. Since the rental is 2 houses, we were able to put the young adults in their own house, and their late nights didn't disturb the older crowd! Management was responsive and very accommodating. Everyone had a great time! I would recommend this property.

We had a very large group and the rental was perfect for that. Check in was easy, everything we needed was in the house, and the company was clear about expectations and rules. There were some things that weren't great about the property, little things were broken or didn't work, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. Seriously incredible location, comfortable rooms, huge kitchens, and a great pool.

Our trip to Clearwater was amazing! The Somerset property we stayed at was very lovely with tons of amenities. The children loved he pool and their is tons of room for our 20 person group. Whenever we called/emailed about maintenance for the property, assistence was there if not within the hour, that day. Everyone we interacted with was very pleasant and helpful. The beach house was even better than we expected. It was very spacious, clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed. It was a perfect accommodated for all of our guests. We rented the beach house for my wedding that was actually right off of Somerset street on the beach so the location was perfect, literally only steps from the beach!! The house was a great place to return to after a long day at the beach and exploring the strip and the pool/Jacuzzi was a great added feature to relax after a long day!! We will definitely be returning soon and would recommended this beach house to all our friends and family.

We had the most wonderful time at this house! It accomodated our large family perfectly & even had a few beds to spare!! The house was well equipped with kitchen essentials & plenty of towels! We celebrated our niece's wedding and combined it with a family reunion. All of the Evans' clan was there and we all had a GREAT time. The wedding reception was at Sheppards, just down the street from our villa, so we all car pooled there. The best part of the stay was we were all together in one place. There was more than enough room for everyone to have their own bedroom in the two buildings. We enjoyed the pool immensely and took several trips to the nearby beach. A grand time was had by all, and I want to extend a hearty "THANK YOU" to Alan A. for making it all happen so easily. We had a great vacation for our entire family from ages 2 months old to 70 years old. Close to beach and restaurants and other stores etc. Good sleeping areas dinning area a little small for larger groups to all eat together. Our daughter got married on Clearwater Beach and when I booked this house, I had no idea that it would be so close to the wedding location but we were able to walk to the wedding from the house. I was looking for a place that would accommodate everyone that was coming from Ohio and would be in the wedding party. We ended up with 23 people staying there and it was perfect for that amount of people, not crowded. Paul was very helpful. Anytime we had a problem or question he took care of it. Wish we could've stayed another day. It was a little hectic having to leave the day after the wedding by 10:00 with 23 people but the house was rented. Also, the two units worked out great as we had parents and step parents to deal with. We have a great time.

We had 28 gals on a retreat and had the BEST time at Somerset. Its a lovely place with a nice little pool and a short walk to the beach. There was ample space for all of us sleeping and meeting together. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It would also be a great spot for larger families to use as a getaway!

We got married on Clearwater beach and rented the house. It was great for out family of 25. The staff was great. If I had a question they answered it right away. The only thing I would of like better if they would of provided garbage and more toilet paper. It was a pain to fly in then try and get to a store right a way. We had a shower out and when I reported that it wasn't working it was fixed that same day. We had a blast.

We had a large group of close friends stay for a full week in the house. The new in-ground pool is very nice. Lots of bedrooms and lots of parking as well which was an added benefit. A very short walk to the beach, and an easy walk to "downtown" CWB where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The house had plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The only drawback is that the house is located in a residential area, so you must obey the quiet hours at night to avoid being rude to the neighbors who aren't there to vacation. All in all a nice place if you have a large group that wants to stay in one place!

My wife and I got married on Clearwater Beach. We chose this rental for our families to stay at, so everyone could get to know each other better. The location was perfect for us. You got the relaxing part of the beach and the action of the strip in short walking distance. The pool and on demand hot water were great for such a large group! Had an issue with the fridge, that was fixed almost immediately, and received a gift card for food lost. Extremely pleased with the overall experience and already looking to rent it again!

We wanted to get married on the beach on Clearwater, fl.. After looking at prices of houses on the beach we found this house... It was large enough for both our families to stay... We really liked that it had two houses which gave a little separation... The court yard between the two houses was beautiful which had a huge hot tub... The houses were very clean and decorated... I could be on the beach in thirty seconds.... I would recommend this location to anyone due to the location and the price it was fantastic..

What a great vacation we had. On the day of our arrival, I received a welcome call from our contact, Karol, from beachhouseFL, to welcome us and ask when we would be arriving at the home. She met us shortly after we arrived there to review the amenities, local shops, and entertainment. Also to review the policies and rules of the home. She was great and offered her service throughout the week if we needed anything. Our group, of a total of 22 people, filed into the house and began to choose rooms. We were amazed all of the space in the home. Everyone chose their rooms and began to unpack. There was plenty of room for everyone, and quickly we headed to the beach. It was great, just a short 3 or 4 minute walk to the water. We only had one small issue, no hot water in the back house (the smaller of the two) called Karol, there was someone there that evening to correct it. Simple fix really, the pilot light had blown out. Our entire family enjoyed the courtyard and hot tub/mini pool. Very relaxing after a long day in the sun. The only thing that I would recommend to the owners/managers. The kitchen should be stocked with better supplies/equipment to handle a large group. Cooking dinner for 22 people (house advertised to hold 28) with the standard 4QT pans and such was a challenge. We ended up purchasing a large pot, to make sauce and such, and left in for the next guests. Other than that, we could not have asked for more. We also enjoyed the proximity to the shops and restaurants, just down the street. Thank you so much, we would definitely recommend to anyone who asked about this area, and may return ourselves in coming years.

Great for a big family! Location was good. The house had plenty of room and it was very nice to have the 4 bathrooms. Only small issue was the one bedroom stayed hot even when the rest of the house was cool, we had to buy a fan to try and keep it cool. I would definetly recommend this house and would stay there again!

Overall we truly enjoyed our stay. We were a group of 27 people, 5 different families and surprisingly found room to relax and separate when needed. Alan was on his honeymoon upon check-in but Paul, the maintenance man, served as his liaison and was very helpful. It did rain some days and for that I would say a rug at both doors inside the house would have come in handy as there were no cleaning tools other than a broom. Perhaps a mop or swifter type mop, that I purchased, would be nice to have. We loved the location and would definitely return to Somerset Street!

We rented the back house of the 2 house complex and had a great time. 2 - 3 person families fit into the space very well. The house was very nice and as advertised. The location was excellent. Everyone involved did a good kob getting back to us with any issues. It took a few tries to get the hot tub working at proper capacity. Its big and was a nice small pool for the kids on an overcast day when it was a little chilly for the beach. it does take quite awhile to get warm. if you want to use it as a hot tub not a warm tub, then get it set to standard not econ. On econ it's warmish but if its cool it isn't warm enough and if you want a real hot tub it will be a little chilly for you. all in all a very good vacation and very highly recommended.

We, our kids and grandchildren flew into Tampa from the UK and from Wisconsin to spend the Christmas week together, away from rain and snow. In previous years we had done this in a luxurious villa in Lanzarote, but it was only fair to our family living in the USA to spare them a transAtlantic flight this time. Driving to the property in our rented cars was easy, and the location, a few yards from a vast beach was excellent. There was no problem in allocating suitable rooms among the 16 of us, and the younger ones were delighted with the big jacuzzi in the courtyard between the two buildings, where we could also set up tables to eat together on a couple of sunny days. However this was no luxury villa, with the most up to date kitchen equipment, and boxes of games, and the indoor lighting was too dull for reading in most places, so we were not encouraged to spend our non meal times at the tragedy though - we had the beach, local attractions like the Aquarium, and not too far away Busch Gardens, the excellent MOSI museum and even a football game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! So a great time was had by all.

I was very pleased with the property. but I felt that the house description was a little deceiving. The description states that the house is 10 bedrooms and two of the bedrooms are family suites, when it is actually 8 bedrooms and two of them are family suites. We had one of our group cancel at the last minute and if the were to come the house would not have been big enough. Other than that the property was amazing. The hot tub sealed the deal for me. I actually am already planning another trip down to Clearwater and plan on staying at the Soerset property again next year. It ws an amazing house with plenty of ammenities. Very close to the beach and close to the main attractions but not to close. Pretty much everything is in walking distance. I absolutely loved this place and recomend it to any one with a large group going down.

Best guys weekened ever. The house was everything promised and more, much closer to the beach/nightlife than we expected. There is a grocery store, pub, and pizza place all located within 10 steps of the front door, but in no way does the house give you the feeling others are right on top of you. The deck area with the hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. Everything was clean and in working condition (though most likely less so upon our departure). All in all, if my friends and I ever happen to be back in the area, we'll be staying in the same spot.

Really bad experience. Not enough beds. No grill even though we checked weeks before there was. There was a grill line detached on the ground. Description was incorrect. Couldnt get ahold of the host, VRBO couldnt get ahold of them either. Cabinets were broken, roaches in the kitchen, none of the tvs worked. All of the bad reviews previous to mine are true and don't let beachhousefl tell you they've fixed those items, they haven't.
Still working with them and VRBO to get a refund.
